My blog has helped me to rediscover myself after rearing 4 boys and and a 26 year marriage. I currently live in Johannesburg, South Africa.
My sons are my greatest gift and they are the subject of many of my posts. I refer to them as Sons 1 through 4 and here is a brief bio on each of them:
Son # 1 – My first born. He is a true computer geek. He holds a Bsc (hons) in Business Information Systems and is the broadcast engineer to the biggest independent studio in South Africa. He is married to a young lady who I refer to as the daughter I never had. I love her too bits and we get on really well.
Son # 2 – My other sons refer to him as my favorite. (He’s not of course.) He lives in Dubai with a young lass who he is besotted with – he recently uttered “You know how fucking awesome it is to have a topless Hottie in your kitchen!” He works in an AV company in Dubai and loves what he does.
Son # 3 – Currently in Grade 10. Recently declared he is in a “relationship”. I am sure I will find something to write about this.
Son 4 – My little Brainiac. He is Head Boy of his school and is in Grade 7.
And then there is Ty – My surrogate son. He is Son # 2’s best friend and lives with us. A great young lad.
I love reading and am passionate about computers.
I may embellish or use a little artistic license in my posts, but I promise to always tell the truth. I appreciate you comments and feedback and look forward to interacting with you.
A friend recently described my blog as follows:
“Not for the faint hearted. She tells it like it is. Sometimes a bit racy, which I like. It takes confidence to go beyond the norm of society and say what others are thinking, but not willing to write.”
A fellow blogger reviewd my blog as follows on blogcatalog.com:
If you want a blog with an amusing take on being a mother of four, with a risque twist and a dash of attitude, Lanthie is the lady for you.
Marvel at her ability to eat chocolate!
Gasp as she topples off her new heels!
Shudder as she gets confused by a conversation about lube!
For these and many other stories, all told with the good humour and naughty twinkle her readers have come to expect, check out Lanthie’s Bowl of Cherries.
You won’t be disappointed.
